Monitor model identification from the serial number
Every Dell monitor has label with the 20 digit serial number. That same label could also show a Service Tag. Enter that Service Tag here.
CN-06NK9J-74445-21C-319U
In the above monitor 20 digit serial number, 6NK9J is the Dell 5 digit part number.
You would then do a simple Google search for the Dell 5 digit part number = dell part 6NK9J
Which shows us that 6NK9J is the P170ST monitor.
