Monitor not responding to VGA inputs

 I bought a ST2320L in December of 2010 (order ) and it no longer responds to VGA inputs.  I have checked the output of the laptop on another monitor as well as the monitor on a HDMI cable, so I am reasonably sure it is just the VGA input of this monitor which has failed.  Here are the questions:
No service tag number - how long is the standard warranty for?

What's wrong here, I repaired the screen on the laptop I am using now, I can fix things, is this a replaceable part?  I do know how to solder to a circuit board.  I'd rather Dell go ahead and send me a brand new monitor, obviously, but I would rather fix it than throw it away assuming it's out of warranty.

 Thanks in advance

Your monitor was purchased with a 1 year warranty ending on 12/1/2011. Dell does not repair monitors or sell internal monitor components. We do not even have monitor repair/disassembly documentation. We simply replace them while under warranty. Thus, we cannot know what internal component might have failed. Try this -

* Turn the computer and monitor off
* Disconnect all monitor cabling from the monitor (power, VGA, DVI, HDMI)
* Press and hold in the monitor power button in for 5 seconds
* Reconnect the monitor to the computer via the VGA cable
* Reconnect the monitor power cord to the monitor
* Turn on the monitor, then the computer
* Press the number 3 OSD Menu select button
* Go to Input Source and choose VGA
* Exit the OSD Menu

Chris,

Yeah, we've done all that.  Still the same result!
