Monitor USB HUB switch between Laptop and PC
Hello,
i have a Dell Latitude 5530 Laptop from my Company and a private Tower PC.
I want following Set UP:
- Connect USB Keyboard/Mouse and Webcam to Monitor
- Connect Tower PC via USB and Displayport to Monitor
- Connect Dell 5530 Laptop via USB C to Monitor
And then I want to switch on the Monitor between Tower PC and Laptop and that the USB Devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Webcam) are active on the selected Device. For clean table I want to avoid KVM Switch.
Is this possible with Dell P3223QE?
I am looking for 32 inch 4k monitor
Thanks and best regards,
Mike

The P3223QE will not work for two PC and trying to share the USB-A ports.
The $949.99 P3223QE does not have the necessary additional USB-C upstream port to facilitate sharing the USB hub to second PC HDMI or second PC DP.
The $1,149.99 U3223QE does have the necessary additional USB-C upstream port.

I dont want to connect two PCs.
I want to connect one Laptop via USB C and one PC via DP/USB. So in total 2 devices.
Is this setup possible with cheaper device than U3223QE .
thanks

A laptop is also a PC! So Chris M's answer points you in the right direction.
However, if both your laptop and monitor support Dell Power Button Sync (DPBS) then the setup you require will be totally unusable because the geniuses at Dell have created an implementation that prevents two PCs working with the monitor when DPBS is in use. And you cannot disable DPBS. Search for the threads from myself and others who've suffered from this.

PC = Laptops and Desktops

* Not if the required specifications are 32", 4K, and USB-C.
