Monitor Warranties

* A monitor purchased with a computer before 12/12/2005 has a 3 year warranty based off of the 20 digit PPID number or uses the longer computer warranty (4/5 year). You must provide one of the following Dell numbers so we can validate the warranty -
Service Tag number
Order number
Customer number

* A monitor purchased with a computer on/after 12/12/2005 uses the length of the computer warranty (90 days, 1 year, 2 year, etc), regardless of the monitor PPID number.
You must provide one of the following Dell numbers so we can validate the warranty -
Service Tag number
Order number
Customer number

* A monitor purchased by itself has a minimum 3 year warranty based off of the 20 digit PPID number. You must provide one of the following Dell numbers so we can validate the warranty -
Order number
Customer number

* A monitor purchased from a reseller. The reseller must provide to the buyer the original Dell monitor order number. We will use that order number to validate the warranty. Once validated, we can change the ownership to the buyer.

What does the monitor warranty actually cover?
* Panel, stand, cables, ports, plastics. (excepting for any customer caused damage)

While under warranty, is there a fee for replacement?
* No.

While under warranty, do I have to pay shipping?
* No.

Do I have to send back the broken monitor to Dell?
* Yes. We provide a return shipping label.

How long does an average replacement take?
* 5 to 7 business days.
