monitor will not shut off automatically

Question

I have selected in the poe scheme for the monitor to shut off after 10 minutes and it will not shut off at all? This is the first time it has done this and I have not installed any new drivers. The only thing I installed was a microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks

yes, that's when it started.. I don't want to uninstall the mouse, reinstalling will probably do the same thing but I don't understand why the mouse install would do something like that. Thanks

So you have already isolated what hardware and software are conflicting with the monitor. You have too choose, keep the mouse and its software or have the monitor power off.
