Monitors - 4k v Full HD
I am buying a new Alienware Aurora, principally for flight simulation.
The only monitor option listed by Dell for the machine is a P2415Q, which is a 4K unit with 3840 x 2160 resolution although they have told me I could buy something else..
I have heard that 4K is over kill for a 24 or 27 inch screen and that an Ultrasharp U2715H with res of 2560 x 1440 would be heaps.
Is it possible that the 4k might even make some gauges and text hard to read?
Any ideas?

Before you purchase anything, I would go to a local store and visually compare the Windows icons between a 4K 3840x2160 60Hz and a 2K 2560x1440 60Hz monitor. That will give you a good indication of what the flight sim gauges will look like. Check this video out.
