Anytime. LG Philips are about to release their latest S-IPS panel, and even Gateway are about to release their first 30-incher (PVA). Also Christmas is just around the corner.
Anytime is quite vague and Christmas is in 3 months... for some this might be a long time to go, considering I wanted to buy this screen in a couple of weeks.
The question I raise now is: is it worth waiting for the next generation or is the current version already good enough?
the new LG Philips 30" monitor that's suppose to be coming out is the LG Philips LM300WQ3 S-IPS uses the same exact LCD screen as the current Dell 3007 WFP-HC
HP LP3065 uses the same exact screen too, but supposedly has the colors calibrated better than the Dell 3007 WFP-HC, plus it has 3 DVI inputs, rather than just 1 (dell)... BUT the appearance (in my opinion) is not really as modern looking as the Dell...
aesthetically speaking, dell is currently probably the best looking (after maybe the Apple cinema display)--though the apple is probably the worst of the bunch in features/quality...
there's also the Samsung 305T, but this has been noted to show too much ghosting (especially for games)...

I'd hate to purchase a new 30" now and then have a new (better?) version come out soon after...
