P2214H, Surface Pro 7, surface dock 2, not seeing monitors
I have a Surface Pro 7, 2 Dell monitors that are P2214H, and a Microsoft surface docking station (2 I believe). I am trying to connect the surface pro through the docking station to the monitors. They are connected by DP(back of monitor) cable to mini-DP(docking station). I have tried updating drivers. It keeps telling me monitors are not detected.
I tried going to the OSD menu on the monitors and checking anything but when the monitors come on the only menu I get is the input menu. I have tried auto detect and tried the DP port and still nothing.
Can someone help me try to get monitors connected to my Surface???? Thank you!

* First, go HERE and insert the private P2214H service tag numbers to check the warranty status
* Second, "They are connected by DP(back of monitor) cable to mini-DP(docking station)"
According to this Surface Dock 2 page, there are no mini-DP ports? It shows USB-C/DP ports. So you would need two USB-C to DP cables to connect to the P2214H DP in ports.

I am sorry, I was mistaken on the docking station, I guess it is the Surface Dock 1.
It has the power cord, network connection, audio, 2 mini DP and to USB ports on the back and 2 USB ports on the front.

You need to connect both P2214H DP in port directly to a Windows PC that has DP out port using a straight DP to DP cable.
- If both P2214H work, the fault lies with either the dock or the mDP to DP cables.
