P2219H, trailing

Question

Hello, I just bought a new monitor as the model shows and since day one when I am scrolling there has been that black trail of pictures and text. It is annoying as I am working as a software tester and I scroll and switch tabs a lot. It is also irritating during playing video games on the monitor. Please assist me to solve this issue. Kindly note that I am using a VGA connection to the monitor and HDMI to VGA converter to connect it to my CPU. Thanks

The P2219H is an older model. Did you buy it new directly from Dell? What is the non-private 20 digit serial number on the rear label?

The P2219H has a built-in HDMI in port. Test using an HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to the PC HDMI out port.

No, I haven't bought it directly from Dell. This is the non-private 20 digit serial number: CN-0V7JPS-QDC00-9AB-94YB-A06

I am using currently HDMI to HDMI and I am still facing the same issues. It is not in warranty right now.

If you test the P2219H HDMI in port and HDMI cable on another PC HDMI out port and see the same issue, then the P2219H is faulty.

When I am looking at the monitor, I see the content on it as pixels. I can literally see each pixel on the monitor.
