P2314T touch screen

Question

I had a Planar PXL2430MV connected to a dell power edge 2900 running windows 2003 and the touch screen work fine but lighting hit the Planar and fried a board inside so it no longer works.  Bought a new Dell P2314T touch screen and I get good video but the  touch screen wont work.  I have a cd with new drivers on it but have not loaded it yet not quite knowing what would happen.  I talk to a person at dell for an 1 hour and he was still not sure if I would cause a problem with the server or not.  Any ideas any one..??

The P2314T Touch is not supported by Windows 2003.

So even if the USB upstream cable is connected from the P2314T to the computer USB port, Touch may not work. We just do not know because we never tested on Windows 2003.
