P2415Q, faint grey lines #7

I had 4 replacement monitors (P2415Q), they all had this issue.

P2415Q display oneP2415Q display oneP2415Q display twoP2415Q display twoP2415Q display threeP2415Q display threeI just can't reconcile with a fact that Dell made this kind of omission.

I have another Dell display which I use for a long time, and it's impeccable, which made me consider Dell as trustworthy and reliable display manufacturer. But buying a premium 4K monitor from Dell and doing four replacements, one after the other, with current fourth (manufactured May 2020) display, having exactly the same issue, and then some other issues like yellow tint on screen edge is truly disappointing.

I worked in computer hardware store which among broad assortment of computer hardware,
sold second hand computer gear, never saw (or heard of) cases like mine. I'm disappointed that Dell has this kind of issue, and does not provide official explanation for this fiasco.

Lucky for Dell, someone is here to do their work

If these grey lines disappear over some period of time, that's fine, but Dell should have enough honesty and work ethics to analyze this problem and issue official statement, or they should redraw faulty series.

Like this, they sell faulty displays and let their customers waste their time and energy with their product.

A year ago if I heard "good displays", in my mind I heard "Dell", now, when I hear "Dell", in my head I hear "Run as far and as fast as you can"

I wish I read this comment before getting a new Dell monitor. I had been using Dell U2414H for over 3 years and had only positive experience with it. But a day I've got P2415Q the nightmare had begun. They at least had been providing an exchange for reported items in the past but now they seem to refuse to do even that. I was denied to get an exchange, for example. I guess it's still can be used as a display for TV box or gaming console. And then you just wait for 6 months to see if the soldering issue would magically be fixed by itself and you will finally be able to start using it for your professional activity. But no Dell monitors for me anymore.

@Xedior did your display fix itself after 6 months? Did I understand you correctly that you find it to bi soldering issue? Can you be more specific about the solution? What was it?

P2414H is exactly the monitor that won me over too. I bought it, used, several years ago. The monitor proved perfect. Even now I use it and havent seen a stuck pixel on it, let alone dead one. One of those P2415Q had a dead pixel right out of the box.

I had the same issue.  By the 3rd one I finally got fed up and took it apart.

These lines are not being caused by the graphic display, but by a faulty assembly with the diffuser behind the display panel. Here's a deep dive on how how to get rid of them, but it does require disassembling the monitor.
