P2416D flickering for 1-2 second intervals repeatedly
I am connecting my XPS 13 9350 to the monitor using a cable matters USB C to DP and using the included DP to DP cable. Running at 2560X1440 @ 60Hz. The monitor flickers intermittently at most every several seconds and sometimes every 10 minutes. Is it the cable? The monitor? The cable matters adapter? I did not seem to have this issue when I used HDMI to HDMI and the Dell USB C to HDMI adapter at 2560x1440 @ 30Hz or 1920x1080 @ 60hz (although the Ethernet port on the dell adapter intermittently loses connection, but that is a separate issue)

Test the P2416D on a desktop computer using DP running at 2560X1440 60Hz. If you do not see the issue, the fault is not with the P2416D or the DP cable. If you cannot test on a desktop, run the P2416D BID (Built-In Diagnostic). If the flicker is not seen, the P2416D is not the fault.

It seems as though it's only an issue when using display port. Searches show that this is apparently a big issue for several of Dell's monitors using DP. Is there a fix for this?

Is the DP end of that cable with locking latches like the one on the right?

It is like the cable on the left. I have also tried a different third party DP cable and the problem still persists.

Did the 3rd party cable have the locking latches? This one has been reported to fix many issues.

That is the exact third party cable I am using. Despite the latches, the problem still persists

Per the warranty, you may initiate a monitor exchange. Test the replacement before sending any monitor back to Dell. If the replacement does not have the issue, keep it and send us the original. If the replacement has the same issue, I doubt that they both could be defective. Send the replacement back to Dell. Look to the computer operating system drivers or computer hardware as the culprit.

I wanted to follow up on this issue so others can learn. I received a replacement that had supposedly been tested before being sent. However, the flickering problem still occurred on the new replacement. I have now tried 3 different DP cables with 2 different USB C to DP adapters with an XPS 13 9350 and the problem persisted no matter what. I will be returning both monitors.
It is very possible that the problem lies with the XPS 9350 itself either in the drivers for the Thunderbolt 3 or the Intel 540 drivers. I have seen similar issues with users running an XPS 9350 or an XPS 15 (9550)
I will be receiving a U2515H monitor soon and will update on whether or not the issue still persists with a different model Dell monitor.

Received the U2515H monitor (revision A02). The flickering problem still occurs whether DP 1.2 is enabled or not. Seems to be a common issue with the U2515H as well. What a joke

I couldn't get into my other account (mes61792) but it's still me. @ Etti82 I don't actually see an option for enabling DP 1.2 in the menu on the P2416D, I only see it under display on my U2515H.
As an update to my previous problem: I am using a USB C to DP cable purchased from the google store (https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_to_displayport_cable)to connect my XPS 13 9350 to my U2515H and I am using a third party DP to DP cable to connect that to my P2416D.
I am not experiencing any flickering anymore. Maybe the google cable did the trick or maybe something in the XPS 13 was updated.
