P2422HE/P2422HE/P2422H, MST daisy chain
Hi all, first time poster here. Hopefully you can help. I managed trough work to pick up three Dell monitors. Two P2422HE docking monitors and One P2422H monitor.
Ideally wanted to run using just a USB-C cable to the first P2422HE, then using DP cable connect using DP out to the next P2422HE DP in and then DP out to the final P2422H. Here's the thing, it all works, the first two P2422HE (1920X1080) are fine, but the last the P2422H works but at a very low resolution 640X480. I can't seem to change this at all. I've tried this on two separate laptops, one with Intel 12th Gen. I've updated the firmware on both P2422HE monitors, reset them all to factory to be sure and used official cables that came with the monitors.
Now I tried using two USB-C cables, so the first monitor using USB-C and then the second monitor USB-C and then DP cable out to the final and everything works fine, the resolution looks great. But if possible I would like just one cable. I'm lucky the laptops, one a work laptop has two USB-C ports, but another laptop for work I might be getting only has the one, which is why I would like it to work if possible.
Is there something I'm missing or is it a lost cause?
Thank you all for your time and reading my post.

The PC dictates the USB-C bandwidth signal sent to the monitors.
So in your case, the 3rd P2422H just doesn't have enough of the PC USB-C bandwidth signal to do 1920x1080.

Hi Chris, thank you for your reply.
I would have thought with it being an Intel 12th Gen 12900 that it could easily power all three monitors. Would there be any settings on the monitors to check in case it could be that?
Thanks again

@ghunterx Hi,
We have tried exactly the same thing and it doesn't work.
Have you received an answer yet?
We have received the following response from dell:
we tried it today with a latitude 7440 and Linux and it worked.
The question now is, why does it work with Linux and not with Windows?

@DELL-Chris M
There is something wrong with that statement. Yesterday we tested it again with a Dell G16 and the same monitors and it is displayed in Full HD everywhere.
