P2722HE, getting Ethernet through USB-C

Question

I'm trying to get an ethernet connection down my USB-c cable from the monitor, which has an ethernet cable plugged to it.

I am getting power and display through the USB-C but I'm not picking up the ethernet.

Is there anything special I need to do with my Dell laptop to use this function and point it to the USB-C for its ethernet?

Per page 78 in the online P2722HE User's Guide, did you install on the Laptop the P2722HE Realtek USB GBE Ethernet driver?
