P3421W, flickering, #2
I'm just chiming in as another person with P3421W flickering issues.
I use mine with 3 laptops. Dell XPS 13" (new) + Windows, Dell XPS 13" (new) Ubuntu + M1 MacBook Pro
I have installed all the drivers on Windows, but I get flicker. I get flicker on the M1 MacBook Pro. I haven't noticed flicker in Ubuntu, but it might be there.
I find that resetting the monitor to factory defaults alleviates the flicker, then it comes back if I change any settings, especially brightness. You can see the flicker as you adjust the brightness, but after adjusting it, it starts happening all the time.
I bought 4 of these and I'm very disappointed in the problems.

* Open the P3421W Menu- Others and choose Factory Reset (online P3421W User's Guide page 54). This will reset all including returning Brightness and Contrast back to the manufacturer 75%
* Any changes to Brightness or Contrast should then be done in the operating system GPU Control Panel, not in the P3421W Menu. So make a Brightness change in the operating system GPU Control Panel and see if the flickering issue returns

Factory reset made a small difference, but not much. What I found was that flickering was significantly worse at lower brightness settings, and a little worse at any non-default brightness. After a factory reset, flickering was less if I made no adjustments. After lowering the brightness the flickering became much more pronounced.
Today I installed firmware M2B102.
Fixes & Enhancements
- Fix USB Type-C ALT DP video blink intermittently issue
- Resize PIP window to 16:09 aspect ratio
I don't want to speak too soon, but this may have been a fix. I am not aware of seeing flickering since installing it. I'm reserving final judgement until I have more time to use it on the new firmware.

The flickering is not fixed, but I think I am seeing it less often after installing the latest firmware. I now have 3 of the P3421W and they all have this issue.

I have the same flickering issue, I updated to latest M2B102 but it doesn't work. Too bad

I called Dell and got a runaround. They are unwilling to replace or repair this, my third P3421W.
