just a little while ago I found out that it's not output, seems like my TV doesn't have it :\
I was able to get it working on my DVD player though. Are there any other ways, besides getting a new TV to get this to work?
If you have a vcr or a dvd recorder or similar, just use the video output from one of those. For a vcr, it's more likely to be the yellow composite video connection.
If you don't have the above, I guess you could get a second hand / spare vcr pretty cheaply nowdays.
I guess a more high-tech way would be with a digital set top box.
