Power Save Mode

How can I disable power save mode on my P780? Could it be possible that my monitor is not strong enough to tolerate the graphics from my video card (RADEON X850 PRO)? I leave this open as a possibility due to the fact that I was playing Codename: Panzers and the monitor went into power save mode right in the middle of gameplay. The only other time that this has happened is when a program installation requires a restart, or when I set my computer to restart. If it isn't possible to disable power save mode, are there any other options I can try before purchasing another monitor? Any help or thoughts on this subject greatly appreciated.:smileyhappy:

assuming you are running windows xp....

right click on desktop
click on properties
screen saver tab
power button
change all "settings for home/office ..." to Never
click on OK

power save mode is now off

I have already set my power options to never, but my monitor still enters power save mode when I restart my computer, and will not activate through my PC. I have a custom built system and a Dell monitor. Could it be possibly that my monitor is defective? Or maybe just not compatible with my machine?
