Problem with my 15" flatscreen

It seems like my computer works just fine, but my monitor randomly turns all white with blue streaks running across it whether i'm operating a program or just chatting on instant messanger.  I thought maybe there was something wrong with my video driver so i reinstalled it with the CD.  That appeared to work for a day, but now my screen is back to turning white with a few blue streaks.  Do I have a virus of some sort, or is there something wrong with my monitor?

Somebody please reply! This is happening to mine as well and I have no idea how to troubleshoot. Do I need a new monitor? I am clean of all viruses and spyware.

Thanks.

Hey, I was the one who posted this message.  The monitor I had appeared to be faulty.  I called dell and they said the type of monitor had been known to have problems with the backlighting.  I was under warranty still and they shipped me a free new monitor and I had to ship my old one back free of charge.  Try calling 1800 225 5345 and they should be able to help you. hope it works out for you.

Mine isn't under warrenty anymore. It's disappointing that this has happened to many people. It just didnt start happening until after my warrenty was expired. Go figure.
