Refresh rate for the 2405 FPW

I just received my XPS 600 with the 24" 2405 FPW monitor and no dead pixels or excessive backlight. However, the one thing that isn't right is the limited refresh rate of 60 Hz. There seem to be no drivers for the monitor itself ANYWHERE. I installed the latest 78.02 nVidia driver for the 7800 GTX. Now I didn't install video driver that came with the Dell Resources CD (I believe it was the 77.01) since I figured I got a more recent one. So my question is: Is there anyway to increase the refresh rate on the monitor any higher than 60 Hz? Because I know that is LOW for a monitor this big and versatile. When I play games or watch a DVD the video is slightly choppy since the screen refreshes at a slower rate than the fps of the video. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can find the drivers for the montior on the same page as the downloads for your system. There are no download pages for monitor drivers. I think 60 Hz is the correct setting for the 2405.

The refresh rate depends on the resolution. If you are using the 1920x1200 then 60hz is all you can get. I wouldn't force it up any...you could ruin the monitor.

Well I can't go higher anyways since the settigns won't let me, even forcibly. It's just I expected a better rate for a monitor this versatile, with the ability to hook up to a TV and all. I mean trying to watch TV at 60Hz would most likely give anyone a headache.

refresh has very little to do with viewing images on a LCD screen (on a CRT it MUCH more important)  I don't think there are LCD screens that natively go above 70, watching TV at 60hz is just fine, you won't notice a differance.

Well, one of my other monitors is a Samsung and it's refresh rate goes up to 72 Hz, which is very noticeable when you drag windows across with text. They are less blurry with higher refresh rates. 72 Hz would have been good enough for me, but I'm getting used to the 60.
