Resolution (Please Help!!!)
I just bought a new ViewSonic 17" LCD monitor. It works good, but i can't get the resolution right. I used to have an old 17" monitor, but it was not LCD nor flat, and the resolution on that one was 800x600. That resolution worked for me. When i try to set the same resolution on the new LCD monitor, the whole screen just blows up. Its too big for me. I dont know why its like that. The suggestion on the monitor was to set the resolution to 1280x1024, but thats too small and i cant even read anyhting. So right now the resolution is set to 1024x768. Its akward and the font is wierd also. I dont know which resolution to pick.
Can anyone help me out? Please!

thanks!
how do i check which resolution my video card supports?
P.S. - My native resolution is 1280x1024. The problem is that the text displayed when im viewing web pages is too small for me to read.

Higher resolutions can appear hard to read at first, but when you fiddle with settings a bit you will never want to go back to smaller.
Font size in web pages is set by your browser. Check under "View".
Font size in Windows is: Display Properties\Appearance\Windows & Buttons\Font Size; try "large" or "extra large".
For such resolutions icon print can be a problem. From same screen above, hit "Advanced"\"Icon" and set your own font and size.
