Resolution Problems

Hi all.

 

I recently purchased as Dell SE178WFP 17 inch widescreen flat panel monitor. I installed everything as instructed but I am unable to get the optimal resolution of 1440x900. The best I can get is 1360x768 or 1600x1000. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or how to proceed.

 

I'm using Windows XP and my graphics card is a Raedon x300. I've triied updating drivers and whatnot but no luck. The interesting thing is that in the 'Settings' tab of Display Properties, my monitor is still listed as 'Default Monitor'. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I've tried uninstalling the 'Default Monitor' from Device Manager, but, again, no luck.

 

Can anyone help?
