S2340M Image problem
I recently bought an S2340M and it was working fine for about 5months but over the last two days the image hasn't been working correctly. The right half of the screen is totally fine but on the left half every other horizontal pixel line is much darker and slightly flickery. There is also some image burn-in in the affected area of the screen.
I've checked the diagnostic thread on this forum and confirmed its hardware but I am not sure what to do from there, it is still under warranty but I haven't had any luck using the websites support pages to try and get it fixed/replaced.
Any help would be appreciated.

ToastyPillow,
Post some pictures of the issue when running the S2340M diagnostics. Did you buy the monitor directly from Dell?

* 24" and smaller monitors do not get a Dell Service Tag number. They only get a Dell Order number that automatically registers the buyer to the monitor. But only if purchased directly from Dell. Since you did not purchase directly from Dell, follow these steps -
* Contact Dell Order Support for your country. They will need to contact the Dell Tag Team through internal Chat WHILE you are on the phone with them. Provide the following information to the Order Support representative so they can feed the data to the Dell Tag Team via Chat:
Brick or Online Store = Best Buy
Purchase date =
Monitor Model = S2340M
Monitor 20 digit PPID alpha-numeric number =
[Your]
Email =
Name =
Shipping Address =
Phone =
* The Tag Team will then attempt to create a unique Dell Order number tying you to the monitor PPID number. Once done, the Order Support person can then setup a like for like monitor exchange. Understand the warranty started on the original purchase date from the store, not from the day we create an order number for it
