S2340T, How can I turn off the touch function?

I am running the S2340T monitor on a Windows 8.1 Pro system.  The touch calibration occasionally goes haywire, but I've always been able to open the Pen and Touch tool and re-calibrate.  Except that now it does not seem to be 'holding.'

Since I rarely use the touch aspect of the monitor and am completely comfortable using my trackball mouse, I would like to just turn the touch aspect *off*.

How can I do this?  I know that you go to Device Manager, but how do I know which "Human Interface" item it is?  I'm a gamer, so I have a *lot* of human interface items.

Thanks!

Disconnecting the monitor USB upstream cable from the computer will turn the monitor "touch" functionality off. This means you will not have the ability to use any of the monitor USB downstream ports.

At first,  I had no idea what you were talking about.  Sounded like a joke (yeah, I'm sure unplugging the monitor will "fix" it), then I realized you must be serious.  I have unplugged one of the cords (has a squarish connector - I knew it couldn't be the other plug).  I have been able to finish typing this note without my cursor flinging itself to the top of the screen, and the touch aspect is not working, so it worked.  Thanks!
