S2417DG, audio setup?

I own a monitor S2417DG, it has no speakers but it should have the audio output. I'm not sure how to make the NVIDIA audio work, what should I connect and where (cables, speakers, headphones, monitor, vga)? I can connect both jack and USB headphones to the S2417DG, the sound with the USB headphones is working but they obviously don't use the NVIDIA audio. Also, is the S2417DG driver from Dell website needed? Because if I try to install it, it instantly says "driver installed" which doesn't seem normal to me.

Setup =

PC Nvidia video card DP out port ---> S2417DG DP to DP cable --> S2417DG DP in port

PC USB 3.0 port (blue) --> S2417DG USB 3.0 upstream cable --> S2417DG 6 USB 3.0 upstream port

S2417DG rear Line-out port --> powered external speakers only. No Headphone

S2417DG side Headphone-out jack --> Headphone

Right click the Speaker icon on the taskbar. Click Playback Devices. Chose NVIDIA

Is it possible to switch between headphones and lineout? Like having speakers hooked up through the lineout port, but then switch to headphones when headphones are plugged into the headphone port?
