S2417DG, DP is not working

I recently bought the S2417DG monitor today and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect it to my computer using DisplayPort and make it work. I have an Alienware computer, it has an GeForce gtx 1060 6gb graphics card and so far I have tried connecting it to every single DisplayPort on the card itself and nothing has worked. I have also taken every single step recommended on various forms like: power cycling, disconnecting all cords turning on and then turning on and reconnecting, hard resetting the monitor and various other means and nothing is working and I would really like some help if anyone has any idea what is going on! I can provide more information as needed!

First, verify that the S2417DG stand alone BID (Built-in Diagnostic) page 40 passes.

Then,
* Turn the Alienware computer and S2417DG off
* Connect in this way =
GeForce GTX 1060 DP1.3 out port --> S2417DG DP to DP cable --> S2417DG DP in port
* Turn the S2417DG on, then the Alienware computer
* Press the S2417DG #3 Menu button
* Go to Input Source
* Check DP
* Exit the Menu

Does anything appear on screen?

I have ran the diagnostic tool and the monitor is functioning properly, works via hdmi but the display port is giving me issues. Ran through the steps you listed and nothing has appeared on screen or even showed up still blank and screen doesn’t detect any display port cable and goes into sleep mode. The computers display port is working fine because just a few hours ago when I had my other monitor hooked up it was working fine.

It seems like it but I have never been able to get my monitor to display from DisplayPort cable only hdmi, I don’t understand how to solve this issue. I have turned power save mode off and power cycled it numerous times and nothing is working

Using HDMI, open the S2417DG OSD (On Screen Display). Go to Others. Change Factory Reset to On. exit the Menu. Then retest using DP.
