S2422HG, change language display to English
My monitor is displaying Chinese versus English which I am trying to get to. I can't find a way to change to English with the menu button. Thanks

Welcome to Dell Social Media Support for Technical and After Sales inquiries.
Click our blue DELL-Cares username. Our profile page will appear. On the right click, "Send this user a private message". We will need the private Service Tag and 20 digit serial number. Check the rear label.

You will need to open the online S2422HG User's Guide to page 32 on a different computer. It shows how to use the rear control buttons to move around in the Menu OSD. Then try to navigate the Menu OSD to the Menu section. Highlight Language = Chinese, change to English.

If you have DDM installed, you can do this from there. While holding down the SHIFT key, click on the "?" icon/button in the main DDM UI, and then select "OSD language" from the popup menu.

I had this exact problem today. Spoke to Dell Support who didn't seem to understand what I was describing. They ordered a replacement monitor for me (which is not required at all and I will now cancel).
What I found out was that, if you don't have a video source plugged in to the monitor, some of the Menu features are disabled. There is no access to the UP/DOWN functions of the Joystick unless you have a Video Source plugged in.
I had to first plug in a HDMI cable and have a video signal coming from my PC.
I then did the following steps.
1. Press the joystick CENTRE button once.
2. Press the Joystick UP arrow once, wait a couple of seconds and this takes you to the Language Menu.
3. Press the Joystick RIGHT arrow twice.
4. You will now see the list of all languages. Scroll up to "English" and press the Joystick CENTRE BUTTON once to select.
5. Finally, press the Joystick LEFT arrow twice to Exit the Menu.
THAT'S IT!
Hope that helps anyone else with the same issue.
