S2716DG, DisplayPort doesn't work
The Title sums it up. I want to get 144Hz at 1440p but HDMI doesn't change any settings for refresh rate and the DisplayPort port doesn't work. I tried a DisplayPort to HDMI cable to figure this out. When I plugged the DisplayPort end into the PC and the HDMI end into the S2716DG it worked. But when I plugged the HDMI end into the PC and the DisplayPort end into my monitor, their was no input.

You should be setup this way =
PC DP out port --> S2716DG DP to DP cable --> S2716DG DP in port
The cable you bought is one direction only =
PC DP out port --> DP to HDMI cable --> Monitor HDMI in port
Read this from the above FAQ Monitor.
