S2718D, MacBook Pro 2018 15", USB Type-C problem
I just got a new 2018 15" MacBookPro. I would like to connect a Dell S2718D monitor to it, I used the usb-c cable come with the monitor. The monitor flickers constantly. I also upgraded to Mojave 10.14.2 and did all resets. I saw other people also got similar problems. There is no problem with 2011 13' MacBookPro connecting with thunderbolt to HDMI cable. But 2018, connecting with usb-c has problems. What should I do?

For my notes, click my username and via private message send me the monitor service tag number.
For us to troubleshoot, you need to test the S2718D on a dedicated Windows operating system PC to see if the issue is present. You can see here on the S2718D drivers page and also in the User's Guide that the Apple proprietary hardware and operating system were never tested/validated by Dell. You should also post the issue on the Apple Forum and see what other Apple users have done as far as Apple PC troubleshooting and possible Apple proprietary cabling to purchase.
