S2721DGF, 4K, downscale to 1440p, #5
It has been reported source that the Dell 2560x1440 S3220DGF can downscale 4K signals to 1440p, however, apparently the 2560x1440 S2721DGF can't do this.
I have had a look through both of their user manuals and I don't see many dissimilarities between them with regards to scaling and supported resolutions. Their EDID tables are fairly similar and I certainly see no mention of 2160p (4K) in the Dell S3220DGF's manual. What should I be looking for in the manuals that would indicate whether or not this is a supported feature?

Wanna know something? It has HDCP 2.2. The S3220DGF same 1440p/165Hz but its VA panel has the same protocol HDCP 2.2 protocol but offers the 4K downscaling option. It's just a firmware thing. Shame really, as it's not a technical thing. They just disabled it for some reason. It honestly makes no sense. I would like an answer as well.

It seems Dell-cares simply cannot understand my question.
They keep referring me to the S2721DGF's user manual and stating the feature is not mentioned inside the manual - but it's also not mentioned in the S3220DGF's manual and yet that monitor has this feature! I am asking them whether I am missing something and if it actually is mentioned in the S3220DGF's manual?
