S2721HN, off but shows low grade flicker until on button pressed

Question

Hey all,

I have two S2721HN Monitors and recently one of the flickers as if it were turned on when completely off. Once the on button is pressed everything is good to go but it will happen within an hour or two where it has a low grade flicker. Other than that no issues what so ever. For background they are hooked up to a 2019 Mac Pro with Dual HDMI's and plugged into a power strip. I switched power plugs and same issue persists. Wonder what I'm missing?

* Disconnect every cable (power, HDMI) from the second S2721HN
* Press and hold the second S2721HN power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the power cable to the second S2721HN
* Turn the second S2721HN on by pressing the power button
* Turn the second S2721HN off by pressing the power button. Does the low grade flicker happen?

Tried the steps you had suggested and no dice…something makes me think that the backlight to the LED screen may be o the blink? Anyway to resolve that?
