Question

Unlike some older Samsung's I own, which have a button that cycles through Input Sources with a single click, it seems like most monitors have now buried this down in the Menus. From the User's Guide , page 43, it appears that to change Input Sources one needs to go to:OSD Menu (button 1) => Down => Down => Press to select 'Input Source' menu=> and then 0-2 more up\down presses to highlight the Input Source, and press again to select the Input Source. This is 5-7 clicks to change the Input Source. On page 53 the Personalize section appears to offer the ability to customize the 'Shortcut Key 1-3'. Can some one confirm exactly how this function works?Can I program each source to a button (IE 1 click source selection) or is this just a short cut to the Input Source menu after which I would need to use some button sequence to access a specific source? Please specify the key actions. Related, I believe this monitor supports DDM, but I assume this requires the software to be installed on all the devices. Is this correct? Does this then give me keyboard source selection? I expect that one of the HDMI connections will be connecting to random computers for service work, so installing the SW may not be a good solution. I plan to use the monitor for general office work, not gaming.
