I didn't realize this had gone thru.  What I was trying to send: can someone tell me what model sound bar will fit an E207FPW (PWF? WFP?? - whatever)?  Thanks, Bill

BillEM,

It is WFP. This monitor uses the AS501PA Sound Bar.

I asked this on another thread but never saw an answer. If you have a monitor that has a sound bar attached and want to replace the monitor with a non-Dell one that doesn't have a sound bar or speakers, how is the sound system controlled? The current sound bar acts as the center channel and has the on/off/volume control built in.

Controlled by the sound card.  Either you have an integrated sound chip or a dedicated sound card in one of the pci slots inside the system.  A small round lime green connector is where the speaker sound wire connector is inserted.

You can purchase speakers which will have an on/off switch, and the sound cable that is attached to the sound card.
