SP2208WFP Discontinued?
Has the SP2208WFP monitor been discontinued? I bookmarked the product page Tuesday night, when I came back yesterday (Wednesday) to order it the page no longer exists. Here's the link: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productnotfound.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&sku=320-6252&redirect=1
Hopefully there is some sort of mis-understanding with Dell's inventory or something. Otherwise this seems like some kind of cruel joke to discontinue a product during the holiday season. Especially to discontinue a monitor that's highly reviewed and recommended.

Commercial websites change all the time. We are still selling the 2208WFP.

Some days ago I have ordered a computer with a SP2208WFP, this monitor was supposed to be with a webcam and a mic and a contrast equal to 2000:1
This is the line from the order I made "22 inch SP2208WFP Wide Flat Panel with Webcam and Mic"
-- Monitor --
-- 22 inch SP2208WFP Wide Flat Panel with Webcam and Mic
-- [320-6096] not the 320-6252
and now this SP2208WFP is transformed into a monitor without webcam or mic and a contrast equal to 1000:1 so yes you continue selling it but its not the same product ! And I wonder what as been shipped to me !

I checked the order and it appears that it is shipping with an SP2208WFP. BTW, putting your order number in a post is a TOS violation and it will probably get pulled.

Telling me I will receive the 320-6096 or the 320-6252 would an addon :emotion-2:
Anyway the order shipping date was dec 18 and it has changed to dec 14 so its arriving tomorrow and we will see soon but I still dont appreciate this commercial practice of using same reference for 2 different items !

Back to the original question as it seems a clear definitive answer was never given. Can I purchase the Dell SP2208WFP from www.dell.com or has it been discontinued? Again I'm not referring to the Dell 2208WFP UltraSharp monitor. Thanks for your quick response.

There are several reasons a product may have been removed from Dell.com, no stock, it was discontinued and many others. Obviously if it's not on Dell.com you won't be able to purchase it there. You could try calling sales, they may or may not be able to order one but it's worth a shot.
