Static lines in screen.

Hello,

I have an issue perhaps you all can help with.  I purchased a Dell 24 inch, Widescreen LCD montior a little over a year and a half ago.  I have noticed that at certain points, I am getting very slight, vertical lines of static.  This issue seems to be more intense while displaying certain colors.  It also only happens on channel 1.  (VGA).  None of the other inputs seem to have this problem.  Also the lines never cross the active window.  They dispay on the desktop, the windows titlebar, and toolbar at the bottom of screen, but never cross into the active windows contents.

This is really strange to me.  I thought maybe it was perhaps feedback from a noise reducer on the input cables on the back of the monitor.  I unplugged the other one (DVI) and it still does it.
Like I said, it is very minor at this point, but I was hoping someone may have some insight as to what is causing the problem.

I appreciate any advice given!

Thanks,
Brody

If you did not saw this interference using the DVI input, might be a cable problem or maybe the input. If you can, try using another VGA cable, and check for electrical devices near the cable and the monitor.

Thanks Somnio, for the idea, I am going to give it a try.  I will post if it works or not!
