Trouble with 1702FP (17") resolution
Everything I've read says that the optimal resolution for this monitor is 1280x1024. However, every time I set it to that, the screen pans/scrolls instead of giving me a normal full screen. My video card is a ATI Radeon 7000 AGP and ATI's site says this card supports upto 2048x1536. And I have updated the drivers for both the monitor and card.
How can I fix this?

Kinda hard to explain, but are you sure you set the right part to 1280x1024? Most drivers support virtual desktops and there are ways to set the monitor's resolution to 1280x1024 but the desktop could be at a higher resolution. This allows you to pan/scroll the larger desktop around to get to all of it in the smaller 'window' of the monitor. Check and see if that's the case.
With Nvidia drivers, you would set that up with the Desktop Management tools. No clue how it is handled in the ATI Catalyst drivers.
