Trying to connect two E177FP

I am trying to connect 2 17" Dell E177FPc LCD Monitor to a E port plus K09A001 docking station that only has 1 vga spot.   Both of the monitors only have vga outputs.  What is the simplest way to make this happen?  Is there some sort of adapter or other cable I can use?

Thanks

John

There are VGA to dual VGA splitters, but these only mirror the same display on both monitors. There is not a way to use a single VGA out and split it to two monitors to create an extended desktop. That dock also has DVI out ports.
K09A001 VGA out --> VGA to VGA cable --> #1 E177FP VGA in
K09A001 DVI out --> DVI to VGA cable --> #2 E177FP VGA in

Thanks Chris.

I found a DVI to VGA adapter and was able to connect the adapter to the docking station and then connect the VGA cord, but the monitor was not recognized.  Would the dvi-vga cable correct this or is there some other issue at hand?  My DVI is DVI-d not dvi-i if that makes a difference.

Turn the computer off. Disconnect the VGA cable and its monitor from the dock. Connect only to the dock the DVI to VGA adapter --> VGA to VGA cable --> monitor VGA. Turn the monitor on, then the computer. The monitor input select should be VGA, not DVI. Does anything appear?

All I get is the floating self text feature text box on the monitor.

Dock VGA out --> VGA to VGA cable --> #1 E177FP VGA in
Dock DVI out --> DVI to VGA adapter --> VGA to VGA cable --> #2 E177FP VGA in

If that is your setup and it does not work, then perhaps this setup on the #2 E177FP =
Dock DVI out --> DVI to DVI cable --> DVI to VGA adapter --> VGA to VGA cable --> #2 E177FP VGA in

Post a picture of the adapter, the rear of the dock showing the ports, and all the cables you are using.

I do not have a DVI cable.  I will try and find one and see if that works.  Thanks

If that doesn't work, the only options are a different dock or a different monitor that has DVI ports.
