Trying to contact Dell support without a service tag on my monitor

Hi,

I am trying to log an issue with my Dell Monitor ST2320. This product is still under its 3 year warranty. However, I cannot report the issue because on the Dell support pages it keeps asking  me for a service tag.  The product does not have a service tag on it.  The only number I can find on it is what appears to be a serial number.  When I enter this the Dell support pages say it is an invalid service tag.

Can anyone please advise me on how I can contact Dell technical support to log the issue Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately, without a Service Tag number, phone is your only option.

* Go back to the top of this Monitor Forum board
* Look to the right under Wikis - Table of Contents, Monitors
* Open, "Monitor warranties and replacement instructions (updated 2/4/16)"

You need your original order number if the monitor was purchased alone. If it was purchased with a computer, the length of the warranty is the same as the computer it came with and the computer's service tag is used.

Mary G, that does not answer the question of who/how to contact Dell support. The order # does not get me past the 'needed' service tag to engage tech support via the phone, or chat. Is there a direct phone number that will get me to Dell Display/Monitor support without having an automated inquiry for a service tag?

I'm having the same issue. I'm working on a Dell UPS for a client, and there is no service tag on the machine. Too bad, that's all I'm getting from Dell's website. There really needs to be a "No Service Tag" option. You hear me Dell?! Too many people are having this issue.

You should call Dell USA Order Support (800-624-9897). They will need the Dell order number found on the monitor invoice.

I am having the same issue. I am in USA; have a dell monitor without any service tag number- bought from amazon. It has horizontal lines all over which continue to be there in the self diagnostic mode. I am looking for a solution, but cant contact dell as every way of contacting keeps asking for service tag number. I would prefer to chat or email than to be on phone for many minutes. Its really frustrating as I cant email my problem and have to call. Below is an image of problem- every horizontal line on the screen has an shadow that moves when I move the window (see the right side for multiple horizontal bars. I can see many of these bars in the 'grey' color in self diagnostic mode. I have tried factory reset, but it not change anything
