Two Monitors

Will my Studio XPS 7100 (AMD Phenom IIx6 1045T Processor) with its ATI Radeon HD 5450 1024MB (+16GB DDR3 SDRAM) support two monitors? Currently, I am using the (old) 15in E153FPD (without any problems) & looking to purchase the Dell ST2220L 21.5 in monitor. I am interested in using the smaller monitor for daily stuff (email, internet, quicken) and would like to use the larger monitor for video editing (Vegas 10). If the ATI Radeon graphics card supports two monitors, do I need any other special hardware, software? Or should I just consider using the larger monitor and shelve the small monitor? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Ok. Then you should be able to run 2 monitors off of those ports.

Chris, I've never looked (internally) at the video card ports, so they must be as was when I purchased the computer this past march. Would I see anything at the back of the 'tower" or should I open it up?

It should. What ports do you see on the video card?

I meant look at the rear of the PC and find the video card. What ports are on it?

Chris, if my observation is correct: the current monitor (Dell E153 FP) is connected using a VGA plug; there also are 'ports' (if that's the correct terminology) for a DVI connector & a HDMI connector. Does this make sense?
