U2311H HDCP compatibility
I am trying unsuccessfully to play a Blu-ray dvd and Cyberlink BD Advisor reports everything OK but fails the monitor - " digital (without HDCP)". My Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS card also reports "this display does not support HDCP". It is connected through DVI-D cable and works perfectly otherwise. In the spec for the monitor indicates compatibility so what could be wrong?

Hi. Tried the Dual Link cable and still get 'not HDCP compliant'. Spec for geForce8400GS says it is HDCP compliant but has a Single Link DVI ! :emotion-42:
warning: HDCP compliant is not the same as HDCP capable!

* Press the monitor menu button to open the OSD (On Screen Display). The bottom of the screen should state: Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz
* Is there another DVI port on the 8400 to test?
* Is there another DVI cable to test?

"two bunches of 9 pins and one to the side" = DVI-D Single Link
You need a DVI-D Dual Link cable seen on left -

Not necessarily. The HDCP specification is complicated, but the result is simple: If you have an HDCP-enabled source component, every active device that connects to that source must also be HDCP-enabled. It would be an inexpensive thing to try before replacing the video card.
