I have checked the U2410 user manual but it does not specify anywhere how to adjust the height but I'm glad to inform one of the threads on this post has a solution: http://dell.to/VyzHMh
Pushing that button will help you adjust the height. Also when you push the top button on the monitor, it will show the preset modes which can be changed based on the your usage.
Look at the picture labeled 'Stand'. Just below the metal piece there is a button that releases the friction pressure of the slider. The resolution of the monitor is:
Resolution
Horizontal scan range
30 kHz to 81 kHz (automatic)
Vertical scan range
56 Hz to 76 Hz
Maximum resolution
1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz
You can refer to the monitor's manualof to customize it according to your needs.
