U2413, blue tint, #2
kbs170,
I have the same problem since buying monitor in 2013. I thought it was a problem with my Mac Mini, but now I'm using MacBook Pro 2018 (via Thunderbolt 3 to Display Port Moshi cable) and still see the same problem every day. When playing video, it can take a blue-purple tint only in a video playback area only. Also when scrolling images (on Flickr for example) all scrolling area can take the same purple-blue tint. But it issue in a Display Port connection only. Sometimes I'm connecting an old Mac Pro via DVI and there is no any tint on video or image playback. It is 100% issue of Dell monitor only. It is a pity, but it is too late to give it back by warranty issue.
Dell, your comment please!

Disable SVE (Smart Video Enhance) in the U2413 Menu
* Go to Color Settings- Preset Modes
* Choose Game which automatically disables SVE
-or-
* Go to Display Settings
* Set SVE to Off (In all Preset Modes)

Test the 5 year old out of warranty monitor DP in port on a validated Windows operating system PC with DP out port. If you still see the issue, replace the monitor or use the other in ports (mDP, HDMI, DVI) via converters.

Thank you, yumichan. I used to think this was the “smurf effect” that was associated with Nvidia graphics cards. But the fault rests squarely on Dell’s shoulders.
