U2414H DP 1.2 MST issues

Hi

I'm having the exact same problem with 3 U2414H monitors.

P25 of the User Guide:

"To enable MST connection, please use only DP cable as provided in box (or other DP1.2 certified cable) and change the DP setting to DP1.2 by performing the below steps:"

There is no DP>DP cable in the box, only a mDP>DP.

The image for Connecting the Monitor for DP MST shows the first cable ending up in the DP (NOT mDP) of the first monitor. (Which is the opposite of the Connecting the black DisplayPort (Mini-DP to DP) cable on P24)

The PC is a HP Pro 6300 running an AMD Radeon HD 7450 DP card - it will not detect the Monitor as having MST available.

Do I need to go buy another DP>DP cable?

rod_bunny,Our cable should suffice. In a three monitor DP MST setup, only the first and second monitor in the chain would have DP 1.2 Enabled in the monitor OSD. Computer to Monitor 1computer video card DP or mDP out --> monitor 1 DP or mDP in via the Dell mDP to DP cable Monitor 1 to Monitor 2Monitor 1 DP 1.2 MST out --> Dell DP to mDP cable --> Monitor 2 mDP in Monitor 2 to Monitor 3Monitor 2 DP 1.2 MST out --> Dell DP to mDP cable --> Monitor 3 mDP in Of course, this is assuming that the video card and driver are DP 1.2 compliant.

'DisplayPort 1.2 support provided in a future driver update' I applied the HP update and its working now cabled up with mDP. :emotion-21:   Cheers Rod

I am setting up the same 3 monitors that you did with an AMD Radeon 7450 video card.  Where did you find the HP update that made it work? Thanks, Tammy
