U2414H, Power Button LED
Hello all,
I'm wondering is it possible to turn off this Power LED blinking light when monitor is on standby? Basically as monitor is close to my head during night that LED light is making half of my room in light. The only thing which is noticed from OSD menu is that you can turn it on/off during active phase.

Short of just turning the monitor off, no. The manual page 16 shows the power button states.

Why leave it in standby? I turn all of my monitors off at the end of the day.

Hi, i know this is old topic but i have same question and i don't unerstand if the answer is just a Why you shoul do that or no, you can't.
Usually i only turn off PC and monitor go black in stand by, but with this monitor still a flashing led that is very annoying... the power consumption is the same for stand by and off mode so for a comfort reason i just turn off PC (so i have not to turn on/off same PC and monitor, turn on one and all go on).
So the question is: can i do this via software?(In the monitor oprtion i can't) or i have to do this via hardware? (like destroy led or black paint it)

You cannot stop the glowing while in active-off mode. I have never heard of any software that could interact with the monitor in the way you want. Just turn the monitor off if the LED is that bothersome. I certainly would not destroy the LED.
