U2414H Powersave mode issues

I too am having problems with my U2414H .. upon start up it appears fine, but when I walk away and come back, it acts as though its in sleep mode, but I can't wake it up.  It either tells me it is entering power saving mode or that there is no signal from my computer and that I should check the monitor menu setting to verify the correct port is selected.  Obviously, I haven't changed anything but I nonetheless go in and see that it is in fact still set to the correct setting.  The only way I can get it to "work" is to change the setting to HDMI only to change it back to Mini DisplayPort.  Then once the connectivity seems to be "ok" then I get a message that states

DisplayPort(tm) Lower Setting Applied

"The system has detected a problem with the connection between your computer and the DisplayPort display that will prevent you from using the highest resolutions and/or refresh rates."

If I attempt to change the screen resolution back to the recommended setting, 1920x1080, the screen begins to jump; currently I have it set to 1280x720 but the quality of the images displayed is severely inferior.

This problem arose yesterday.  Throughout the day I went it to attempt to change the resolution as I was trying to perform tasks that hampered by the inferior display (fuzzy appearance).  Rather late in the afternoon, when I changed the resolution to 1920x1080, miraculously, the jumping did not occur.  However today, the same scenario is presenting itself.

I have a Dell Precision T3610

The monitor as stated above is a Dell U2414H, S/N: SN-OR9F1P-74261-418-38EL, REV A00, Date of Mfg: January 2014

I'm approaching the one year mark on purchasing my system and am concerned with any warranty issue(s) that may need documented, not to mention getting this problem fixed so that I can perform my daily tasks without being hindered by this.
