U2415 Service Menu!?
Hi!
I have a U2415 monitor, and have noticed that pressing the leftmost button (while the menu is not being displayed) always produces a service menu. Reading post en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19622829, looks like this should not be happening at all.
Why is this service menu so easily accesible? What can I do to lock it?

Try power cycling the monitor: remove the AC power from the monitor completely, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect and see if the service menu is still accessible via the leftmost button.

I do not know of any way to lock it. We are not given any instruction on the Dell factory service menu. Do not make any changes in there. You should only be using the Menu button OSD (On Screen Display), page 37.

For now, do not press that Preset Modes button. Use the Menu button to open the OSD (On Screen Display) -Color to see the Preset Modes.

My complain is that the service menu is too scary and too easy to reach: just one button, and it appears; and I do not even have explicit instructions on how to leave that menu without changing any value.
See your own answer in the other thread: "Yes, you could brick the monitor which would not be covered by the Dell warranty.". Well, I am not using a screwdriver to open the device, and I am not using any magic trick to enter that menu; I have just pushed the wrong button once. I doubt you can legally deny any warranty claims in this case.

I power-cycled the monitor, and now the service menu no longer appears; many thanks swamped!
