They are the same model except for the shipped video cable. This is why the online U2419H User's Guide is showing both =

- U2419H ships with a DP to DP cable
- U2419HX ships with an HDMI to HDMI cable

We can see this if open the online U2419H User's Guide to page 6 =

Dell cannot speak to the pricing on non-Dell sites.

I'm wondering if that means the ports on the monitors are different.
Does the HX model take only HDMI cables, or does it also have USB ports?

* No, it is the same monitor with the same number of ports (HDMI in, DP in, DP out, Audio-Line out, USB upstream, four USB downstream). That is why the User's Guide has all of the names at the top. X simply means that an HDMI cable was shipped with it instead of the DP cable.

Hi @DELL-Chris M ,

Thanks for your response to this post, it answers most of my questions. I'm hoping you can elaborate just a little bit for me. While I understand that the difference is the cables that are included, I'm wondering if that means the ports on the monitors are different. Does the HX model take only HDMI cables, or does it also have USB ports? I'm looking forward to your reply.

All best,

Greg
