U2421HE, two display different colors

20230310_001643.jpg

I have two U2421HE that show different colors. After factory reset and basic check, I see their firmware is different. U2421HE with firmware version M3T101 show dimmer colors than U2421HE with firmware version M3T102. I looked for the firmware version M3T102 on the drivers page but did not find it. Only M3T102 version for Dell U2421E).
I have a few questions that I would like help with:
1. Do different firmware versions affect screen colors?
2. If it effects, where can I get the latest firmware version for Dell U2421HE?
3. I don't have the upstream USB cable provided from Dell. What kind of cable can I use instead? (standard 2 output. eg usb to usb or other standard).

Thank. Wait for your news

Even of the same model, no two monitor panels will look exactly like the other. Every monitor panel is unique and the factory calibration for each one is based on specific manufacturer guidelines, not a cross comparison of other or same model monitors. You would need to purchase retail color calibration hardware and software to color calibrate them.

The U2421E firmware cannot be installed on the different model U2421HE! You will break the U2421HE.

1. Do different firmware versions affect screen colors?
* The firmware should not effect the factory color calibration.

2. Where can I get the latest firmware version for Dell U2421HE?
* You cannot because it is not offered on the U2421HE drivers page.

3. I don't have the upstream USB cable provided from Dell. What kind of cable can I use instead?
The U2421HE User's Guide shows that when purchased new directly from Dell, the box contains the following cables =
Power
USB-C to USB-C
DP to DP

* If connecting to a PC with DP out port or HDMI out port, you will need to purchase a retail USB-C to USB-A cable to enable the USB-A downstream ports.
* If connecting to a PC with USB-C, the provided USB-C to USB-C cable also enables the USB-A downstream ports.
