U2515H, intermittent capacitive buttons?

I am doing a new computer build I am interested in the U2515H monitor as the reviews I have read rave about this monitor and it's performance. However on many of the reviews that rave about this monitor also point out some issues with regard to the capacitive buttons being non responsive or intermittent at times. As one reviewer put it "the switches are flaky". I was wondering if anyone who has this monitor has experienced the issue with the buttons and if Dell has addressed the issue on this particular model? Any information would be appreciated.

I have seen three revisions, A00, A01, and A02. But Dell engineering does not release to us what they fixed in those revisions. Buying new directly from Dell will assure you of getting the newest revision. Buying from anyone else is taking a chance. On my S2740L, the touch capacitive buttons are sensitive. You should not rush to them and press hard or they will not respond. Also not hitting them in the center causes them not to respond. Go slow and light touch in the center and they always work.

I just recieved last week new U2515H monitor from dell, the power button takes whole thumb pressure with index finger on back of monitor. Until i read posts online about the moinitor i could not get it to turn on and was about to rebox and send back, I may have to as my wife is not strong enough to turn it on.

I have had this model (bought directly from Dell) for 6 weeks now and have the same problem with the power button being ineffective for both switching on, and switching off, the monitor. Hate to disagree with Dell-Chris M but a 'slow and light touch in the centre' does not always work. The problem seems to occur when the monitor has been in use for some time and area around switches is warm. The response by Dell has been to ship a 'replacement' monitor, which was quite obviously pre-owned and over 12 months old, which I rejected. In seems from the reply by Dell-Chris M that Dell themselves do not know whether this issue is fixed, obviously if it is not there is no point in shipping a replacement at all, and if it is then a replacement (new of course) would be welcome, though it seems that Dell are mitigating their potential exposure in view of the number of faulty units still under warranty.

Have revision A03, same problem, when the area is warm it barely works, can't turn it on need to unplug power cable first. If not warm, it seem to work. Will test more.
