Not that I am aware. We cannot change the Dell policy on the refurbished/used. You might try installing softMCCS and running all of the Preset operations "Restore" buttons to see if it will help.

Thanks Chris

Just a curiosity though, is there such a software/hardware out there that enables you to determine how long the monitor has been used for? It's definitely my fault that I didn't hook up the screen and check within the initial 30 days. It's a tad hard to swallow now that the replacement will be a refurbished/used screen.

thanks

Because you are outside of the initial 30 days from the original invoice date, the replacement will be a refurbished/used monitor.

Since your monitor has a Service Tag number, contact Dell Technical Support for your country. Provide to them the following data so they can setup a like for like monitor exchange if still within the purchased warranty period -
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone Number:
Dell Service Tag number:
Monitor 20 digit alpha-numeric PPID number:
Reason:
