The U2711 had three audio out jacks = front speaker/rear speaker/sub woofer center speaker. The U2715H only has the one audio out jack for a simple stereo setup. Notice the U2715H sales page only list a stereo soundbar. Not a surround sound (4.1/5.1/6.1/7.1) speaker system.

It doesn't have to be the snap on AC511, it can be any 2 channel stereo system like the one below, but not a surround sound system. Why did the manufacturer change, most likely to cut cost.

Hi Chris, thanks for a quick reply.

So, essentially I cannot use my 7.1 Surround Speakers with my U2715H? Only the Snap-On speaker?

Also, from a design point-of-view, why did Dell decide to go seemingly backwards in the audio department for their monitors? It seems to make more sense to continue producing monitors with 7.1 Surround capabilities rather than reverting back to Stereo.

Thanks in advance.
